Our fisherman’s beanie is the perfect way to keep going on those bitterly cold Tassie days

Based in classic style, the chunky rib stitch adds cosy warmth without feeling heavy, and with 97% super-soft Tasmanian merino and a hint of elastane, it stays snug and comfy. It’s breathable, keeps your temp just right, and has you sorted from early morning to sunset hangouts.

NEW—your favourite premium-quality Bluey Merino beanie is now available without a branded logo. This gives you the freedom to easily add your own label or embroidery, making it truly yours. Just a heads-up: we don’t offer sewing or embroidery services.

Made in the USA due to specialised manufacturing skills not available locally or in Australia. Buying from Bluey supports our future goal to manufacture here in Tasmania.

            GARMENT CARE

            Machine wash 30°gentle/wool cycle

Wash with similar colour wool garments

Protect your garment by using a laundry bag

            Use wool or gentle detergent

Do not use bleach, optical brighteners, enzymes or softeners (weakens yarn)

Lightly reshape and lay flat to dry

Use iron on wool/delicate setting (if at all)

We recommend hanging your garments to air between wears. Merino wool is naturally antibacterial and odour-resistant, it doesn't require washing after each wear.

            MICRON + WEIGHT

            Micron

The micron (µm) is the measurement of the diameter of a wool fibre. The lower the micron the higher the quality and the softer the wool is next to skin.

We source Australian Merino wool directly from local farmers. While China buys and processes around 82–86% of all Australia’s wool, it often blends Merino with lower-quality fibres to bulk, and therefore reduces softness. The Bluey range is 100% sourced in Australia—ensuring unmatched softness without the itch.

            Broad (22.6–24.5) Definitely itchy

             Medium (20.6–22.5) Slightly itchy

             Fine (18.6–20.5) Soft

             Superfine (16.6–18.5) Extremely soft

            Ultrafine (14.6–16.5) Insanely soft

            Weight

The weight number used for each garment represents the fabric's weight in grams per meter square. The higher the number the warmer and heavier the garment.

            Heavyweight  (230–340+) Extreme conditions

            Mid-weight  (190–220) Cold conditions

Ultralight (140–180) Everyday wear, year-round layering

Feather-weight  (75–120) So light you can barely feel it on your skin
