A heavy-duty, gender-neutral all-rounder designed for ultimate foot protection, whether you’re working a gruelling shift or exploring the rugged Tasmanian wilderness. The Station Crew (traditionally known as the Humphrey Law Stockman) is the ultimate multi-purpose sock built for trade professionals, outdoor adventurers, and anyone who demands all-day comfort on their feet.
Engineered for All-Day Performance
From active job sites and demanding outdoor professions to weekend hiking trails and long travel days, this sock handles tough conditions with ease. It features a resilient, pure wool terry-knitted cushion sole. Unlike synthetic alternatives that flatten out over time, this pure wool padding retains its loft, providing lasting shock absorption and protecting your feet against heavy boots or rugged terrain.
The Health Sock® Difference
Designed with a non-restrictive, elastic-free loose top, this sock stays up comfortably without digging into your skin or restricting healthy blood flow. It is highly recommended for individuals with diabetes, wider feet, or anyone tired of tight sock rings at the end of the day.
Premium Australian Merino
Knitted from fine-grade Australian Merino wool, these socks offer natural thermal regulation—keeping you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Backed by our no-itch guarantee, they are naturally breathable and odour-resistant, keeping your feet dry through the longest days.

Micron
Ever wondered why some Merino wool feels like a warm hug while others feel like a prickly cactus by lunchtime? It all comes down to the micron — the measurement of a wool fibre’s diameter. The smaller the number, the finer the fibre, and the softer it feels against your skin.
Not sure where to start? Use this guide to find the perfect softness, feel, and warmth that’s just right for you.
| Micron Category | Diameter (Microns) | Primary Market Use |
|---|---|---|
| Ultrafine Merino | 14.6µm – 16.5µm | High-end luxury apparel and knitwear |
| Superfine Merino | 15.1µm – 18.5µm | Suiting, premium base layers, and fine yarn |
| Fine Merino | 18.6µm – 20.5µm | General apparel, sportswear, and weaving |
| Medium Merino | 20.6µm – 24.5µm | Heavy knitwear, blankets, and carding wool |
| Strong Merino | 24.6µm+ | Furnishings and heavy-duty textiles |

Weight
The weight number used for each garment represents the fabric’s weight in grams per square metre. The higher the number, the warmer and heavier the garment.
| Weight Category | GSM Range | Typical Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| Featherweight | 75–120 gsm | Tropical climates, high-intensity summer activities. |
| Ultralight | 140–180 gsm | Standard T-shirts, summer base layers, travel wear. |
| Mid-weight | 190–220 gsm | Fall/Winter base layers, active mid-layers. |
| Heavyweight | 230–340+ gsm | Thick hoodies, thermal leggings, extreme cold protection. |
Easy Care Guide
Easy Care Guide

- Machine wash 30° gentle/wool cycle
- Wash with similar colour wool garments
- Protect your garment by using a laundry bag
- Use wool or gentle detergent
- Do not use bleach, optical brighteners, enzymes or softeners (weakens yarn)
- Lightly reshape and lay flat to dry
- Use iron on wool/delicate setting (if at all)
- We recommend hanging your garments to air between wears. Merino wool is naturally antibacterial and odour-resistant, it doesn’t require washing after each wear.
