For the best fit, use your favourite top as a guide, rather than your body measurements. Bluey’s size charts are taken from the garment laid flat, so measuring against your favourite top ensures a perfect fit.
Prep Your Favourite Top
Get a measuring tape and your favourite top. Lay your top flat on a table or floor. Smooth out any wrinkles so the fabric is even but not stretched.

Chest/Bust (Pit-to-Pit)
Locate the seam directly under the armpit. Place your tape measure at that seam and pull it straight across to the opposite armpit seam.
This full flat measurement is what you match to the Chest/Bust column on the Bluey Merino Size Charts.
Waist & Hips
Waist: Find the narrowest part of the garment's body (usually halfway between the armpit and the bottom hem). Measure straight across from side to side.
Hips: Measure straight across the bottom hem of the top from one side seam to the other.
Compare these flat widths to our garment charts to ensure the top won't be too tight around your midsection or hips.
Sleeve Length
Start at the shoulder seam (where the sleeve joins the body) and measure straight down the outside edge to the very end of the cuff.
Compare this to the Sleeve Length on the garment chart to see where the cuff will sit on your arm.
Remember that some styles are designed to be worn tightly on the body, while others are more relaxed. Choose garments that are similar in style to maximise the chance of a perfect fit.
