Micron

The micron (µm) is the measurement of the diameter of a wool fibre. The lower the micron the higher the quality and the softer the wool is next to skin.

We source Australian Merino wool directly from local farmers. While China buys and processes around 82–86% of all Australia’s wool, it often blends Merino with lower-quality fibres to bulk, and therefore reduces softness. The Bluey range is 100% sourced in Australia—ensuring unmatched softness without the itch.
