Single-source Merino wool, so soft it's like it's forgotten how to itch

This item is made from the final clip from our family farm at Black Mountain, Guyra, NSW — Rare. Ethical. Insanely soft.

We created this unique, extra-long neck gaiter to block freezing winds. Knitted from incredibly rare 14.8-micron wool, this finite batch is sourced entirely from the final legacy clip of our family farm at Black Mountain in Guyra, NSW. The ultra-fine fibre creates a smooth, frictionless layer for a zero-itch experience on sensitive skin.

This gaiter is designed to fit snugly, providing maximum protection against winter cold. The stretchy fabric hugs your neck and face, sealing out drafts.

Why 14.8-micron changes everything

The industry calls 15.5-micron wool "elite," but we got down to 14.8 microns. At this level, it's physically incapable of itching. It sits against your skin like nothing you've ever worn — no synthetics, no plastic, just the finest Merino grown right on our family farm.

Easy Care Guide

  • Machine wash 30° gentle/wool cycle
  • Wash with similar colour wool garments
  • Protect your garment by using a laundry bag
  • Use wool or gentle detergent
  • Do not use bleach, optical brighteners, enzymes or softeners (weakens yarn)
  • Lightly reshape and lay flat to dry
  • Use iron on wool/delicate setting (if at all)
  • We recommend hanging your garments to air between wears. Merino wool is naturally antibacterial and odour-resistant, it doesn’t require washing after each wear.

Micron + Weight

Micron

Ever wondered why some Merino wool feels like a warm hug while others feel like a prickly cactus by lunchtime? It all comes down to the micron — the measurement of a wool fibre’s diameter. The smaller the number, the finer the fibre, and the softer it feels against your skin.

Not sure where to start? Use this guide to find the perfect softness, feel, and warmth that’s just right for you.

Micron Category Diameter (Microns) Primary Market Use
Ultrafine Merino 14.6µm – 16.5µm High-end luxury apparel and knitwear
Superfine Merino 15.1µm – 18.5µm Suiting, premium base layers, and fine yarn
Fine Merino 18.6µm – 20.5µm General apparel, sportswear, and weaving
Medium Merino 20.6µm – 24.5µm Heavy knitwear, blankets, and carding wool
Strong Merino 24.6µm+ Furnishings and heavy-duty textiles
