Women's Core Superfine Tasmanian Merino Tank

The ultimate high-performance, next-to-skin base layer engineered for women tackling unpredictable alpine environments. Acting as a vital climate-control system, it delivers an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio without adding bulk to your pack.

        Women's Hike Ultrafine Merino T-Shirt

The ultimate high-performance baseline layer for lightweight trekking. Wear it standalone as your primary next-to-skin layer, or pair it under a mid-layer for temperature regulation. The high-cut neck eliminates chest sunburn, while the extended hemline acts as an anti-friction barrier against backpack harness chafing.

        Easy Care Guide

        • Machine wash 30° gentle/wool cycle
        • Wash with similar colour wool garments
        • Protect your garment by using a laundry bag
        • Use wool or gentle detergent
        • Do not use bleach, optical brighteners, enzymes or softeners (weakens yarn)
        • Lightly reshape and lay flat to dry
        • Use iron on wool/delicate setting (if at all)
        • We recommend hanging your garments to air between wears. Merino wool is naturally antibacterial and odour-resistant, it doesn’t require washing after each wear.

        Micron + Weight

        Micron

Ever wondered why some Merino wool feels like a warm hug while others feel like a prickly cactus by lunchtime? It all comes down to the micron — the measurement of a wool fibre’s diameter. The smaller the number, the finer the fibre, and the softer it feels against your skin.

Not sure where to start? Use this guide to find the perfect softness, feel, and warmth that’s just right for you.

Micron Category Diameter (Microns) Primary Market Use
Ultrafine Merino 14.6µm – 16.5µm High-end luxury apparel and knitwear
Superfine Merino 15.1µm – 18.5µm Suiting, premium base layers, and fine yarn
Fine Merino 18.6µm – 20.5µm General apparel, sportswear, and weaving
Medium Merino 20.6µm – 24.5µm Heavy knitwear, blankets, and carding wool
Strong Merino 24.6µm+ Furnishings and heavy-duty textiles
