Uncomplicated, adaptable, and now even softer.
While the humble Emrik remains a timeless essential, this version is made from 16.3-micron Ultrafine Merino—the rarest tier of the Australian wool clip. Because the fibres are so much finer than the industry standard, this tee feels closer to silk than wool, making it the best choice for those with sensitive skin or anyone who wants the absolute highest level of comfort.
Naturally breathable, odour resistant and temperature regulating, the Ultrafine Emrik is the ultimate upgrade for your travels. Less washing, more exploring, and a feel that has to be worn to be believed.
- 100% Australian Merino Wool
- 16.3 micron
- Sustainable and Ethical (non-mulesed guaranteed)
- Certified by Responsible Wool Standard (RWS)
- Easy care machine washable (wool cycle)
Authenticity Guarantee: Due to a labelling error during manufacturing, the internal garment tag may incorrectly state: 88% Merino + 12% Polyamide. This product has been verified as 100% Merino Wool. Single sourced from New South Wales, Australia.
We measured the Emrik flat. Compare measurements with your favourite t-shirt for the perfect fit. Note: There may be slight variations due to manufacturing.

Micron
Ever wondered why some Merino wool feels like a warm hug while others feel like a prickly cactus by lunchtime? It all comes down to the micron — the measurement of a wool fibre’s diameter. The smaller the number, the finer the fibre, and the softer it feels against your skin.
Not sure where to start? Use this guide to find the perfect softness, feel, and warmth that’s just right for you.
| Micron Category | Diameter (Microns) | Primary Market Use |
|---|---|---|
| Ultrafine Merino | 14.6µm – 16.5µm | High-end luxury apparel and knitwear |
| Superfine Merino | 15.1µm – 18.5µm | Suiting, premium base layers, and fine yarn |
| Fine Merino | 18.6µm – 20.5µm | General apparel, sportswear, and weaving |
| Medium Merino | 20.6µm – 24.5µm | Heavy knitwear, blankets, and carding wool |
| Strong Merino | 24.6µm+ | Furnishings and heavy-duty textiles |

Weight
The weight number used for each garment represents the fabric’s weight in grams per square metre. The higher the number, the warmer and heavier the garment.
| Weight Category | GSM Range | Typical Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| Featherweight | 75–120 gsm | Tropical climates, high-intensity summer activities. |
| Ultralight | 140–180 gsm | Standard T-shirts, summer base layers, travel wear. |
| Mid-weight | 190–220 gsm | Fall/Winter base layers, active mid-layers. |
| Heavyweight | 230–340+ gsm | Thick hoodies, thermal leggings, extreme cold protection. |
Easy Care Guide
Easy Care Guide

- Machine wash 30° gentle/wool cycle
- Wash with similar colour wool garments
- Protect your garment by using a laundry bag
- Use wool or gentle detergent
- Do not use bleach, optical brighteners, enzymes or softeners (weakens yarn)
- Lightly reshape and lay flat to dry
- Use iron on wool/delicate setting (if at all)
- We recommend hanging your garments to air between wears. Merino wool is naturally antibacterial and odour-resistant, it doesn’t require washing after each wear.
